Aston Martin DB11 Coming To A Market Near You

Following its global debut at the Geneva #Motor Show earlier this year, Aston Martin has been steadily rolling out the new DB11 in markets around the world. And we do mean around the world: in the past few weeks alone, the British automaker has brought its new turbocharged grand tourer to locations as varied as Italy, Oman, and Malaysia.

The DB11 represents the start of a new era for Aston Martin, which has cultivated an image for British fine craftsmanship, but now steps into the modern age with new technologies. It's based on a new platform, with a new engine, and new electronics, all wrapped in fresh bodywork distinct from the design language its model line has carried until now.

At the heart of the new DB11 sits a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, designed by Mercedes-AMG but built by Aston Martin at its engine plant within Ford's facility in Cologne, Germany. The engine sends 600 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission to reach 62 miles per hour from a standstill in a quoted 3.9 seconds en route to a top speed of 200 mph.

In other words, you're not likely to see one sitting still for very long. So if you haven't had your chance yet, check out the live photos from the DB11's local debuts in Muscat, Oman; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Villa Franciacorta near Milan, Italy; and Mumbai, India.
