Toyota Drops Pricing Details For U.S-Spec Highlander Range

Pricing details for U.S.-bound 2017 #Toyota Highlander models have been announced just before the model reaches dealerships in mid-November.

The updated Highlander range brings with it a selection of new safety features, a new 3.5-liter V6 engine and the addition of the SE, LE, LE Plus and XLE grades. Prices now range from $30,630 for the entry-level LE 2WD four-cylinder model starting at $30,630 and reach a high of $47,880 for the Limited Platinum Hybrid AWD V6.

For 2017, the new 3.5-liter V6 variant benefits from a 25 hp and 15 lb-ft boost in power over the 2016 model, bringing those figures up to 295 hp and 263 lb-ft and coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine is also used by the Highlander Hybrid and joined by a small electric motor resulting in a total of 306 hp. The petrol-powered Highlander can also be equipped with a 2.7-liter 4-pot.

As for the new SE, LE, LE Plus and XLE grades, all three add a selection of interior and exterior changes. For example, the LE includes 18-inch wheels, a 6.1-inch touchscreen, reversing camera, seating for eight, heated side mirrors and a windshield wiper de-icer. If the LE Plus grade is specified, it includes most of those elements as well as fog lights, height-adjustable power rear liftgate, 8-way power driver seat, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, an 8-inch display and three-zone automatic climate control.

As for the XLE, it includes leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, integrated sun shades for the second-row, a 4.2-inch display and Entune Premium Audio. Finally is the SE grade, bringing with it a dark front grille, headlamp housing and roof rails, 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, black leather seats and sporty front and rear springs and shocks.
