2018 Corvette Gains Larger Wheels And Several New Options

The 2018 #Chevrolet Corvette is celebrating 65 years of production with an assortment of minor changes.

Starting with the exterior, the previous 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels have been replaced by larger 19-inch and 20-inch wheels derived from the Z51 package. The model also comes with a revised color palette, an optional Spice Red roof, and five new wheels designs.

Drivers will find an assortment of changes in the cabin as there's a newly standard HD radio as well as an optional Spice Red interior. 2LT models have a "revised interior color breakup," while there's several new contrast stitching packages on 3LT and 3LZ trims.

Other changes include an improved rear-view camera, an enhanced head-up display rotation setting, and an upgraded Performance Data Recorder / Cosworth Toolbox with four new data channels: individual wheel speeds, individual suspension displacements, yaw rate and intake, and ambient air temperatures.

Last but not least, Magnetic Ride Control will be offered as a stand-alone option.

The Corvette Grand Sport has many of the same changes but it also gains ceramic brakes as a stand-alone option. There's also a new Carbon 65 package which is available on 3LT trims.

Likewise, the Corvette Z06 gains a newly available gray interior as well as two new wheel designs. The model can also be ordered with the aforementioned Carbon 65 package.

Despite all the changes, prices have only gone up slightly as the coupe starts at $56,490 while the convertible retails for $60,490.
