Isuzu introduces the D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35

Isuzu's latest pick-up should be ideal for anybody planning (or, probably more accurately, fantasising about) a trip across frozen tundra.

As its name indicates, the new D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 has been developed in conjunction with the Icelandic firm renowned for extreme off-road conversions. Indeed, this is the first time that an Arctic Trucks vehicle is being made available through a UK franchised dealer network.

The modifications begin with some larger 17” x 10” alloy wheels. Sitting beneath wider wheel arch flares, they wear all-terrain Nokian Rotiiva AT tyres that have an overall diameter of 35”.

A revamped suspension set-up incorporates Fox Performance Series dampers. As well as an increased ground clearance figure of 290 mm (11.4”), this results in approach, ramp and departure angles of 36.0°, 32.0° and 23.0° respectively.

Isuzu is offering extended-cab and double-cab versions of the D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35.

Both feature the usual 2.5 litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which delivers 160 bhp (120 kW / 163 PS) to an on-demand all-wheel drive system via either a six-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic transmission.

Standard equipment includes cruise control, a six-speaker audio player, electric windows, a cargo-box liner and a chrome finish for the front grille, door mirror caps and rear bumper.

Furthermore, double-cab models come with climate control, leather upholstery, heated front seats, roof bars and rear parking sensors.

Customers will also be tempted by numerous Arctic Trucks accessories. Among them are a sports bar, skid plates, auxiliary LED lights and the Truxedo load-space cover.

Orders can be placed from the 25th of this month.
