Ferrari Doubles Down On Japanese Market With Two New Dealerships

Ferrari Doubles Down On Japanese Market With Two New Dealerships
Rolls-Royce isn't the only high-end European #automaker expanding its dealer network in Japan. So is #Ferrari, which recently opened two new locations in the Pacific island nation.

The latest is MID Sapporo, the first Ferrari dealership on the northern island of Hokkaido. The location includes a showroom suitable for the display of four vehicles, along with a reception area, lounge space, and configuration area for custom orders, all set up across over 4,000 square feet of floor space.

The dealership opened on September 25 and also includes a 2,700-square-foot service center with four service bays. Hokkaido's main city of Sapporo (where the dealership is located) has a population of 1.92 million, making it the fourth largest urban center in Japan.

Just weeks before, Ferrari Japan also announced the opening of Auto Cavallino in Kobe, which includes showroom space for both new and certified pre-owned Ferraris as well as a service area. The location is spread across over 33,000 square feet of floor space. The business was licensed until now as an authorized Ferrari service center, and is situated in the Kinki region – cited as the country's second largest market after Tokyo.

The new locations bring Ferrari's Japanese network up to 13 locations in 12 cities across the country, including nine authorized dealers and four additional service centers. By comparison, McLaren is represented by four dealers in Japan, Aston Martin by five, and Lamborghini by six, while Rolls-Royce is presently working on its sixth Japanese location.
