Toyota Prices C-HR From £20,995 In The UK, Thinks It Can Rival BMW X1, Audi Q2

#Toyota has announced #UK pricing and range details for their all-new C-HR compact crossover.

According to the Japanese company the new Toyota C-HR is going against models like the Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Yeti and Honda HR-V, claiming that their proposal not only offers an unbeatable mix of striking design and efficient powertrains but is also able to steal some customers away from premium rivals like the Audi Q2 and the BMW X1.

Entry-level models are powered by Toyota’s turbocharged 114hp 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired to a standard six-speed manual or an optional CVT automatic transmission. CVT-equipped models are also offered with all-wheel drive.

As for the hybrid version, the petrol-electric powertrain employs a 1.8-litre petrol engine which in conjunction with the electric motor offers a combined 120hp. Toyota claims a combined fuel economy of 74.3mpg UK (3.8lt/100km) and just 86g/km of CO2 emissions.

The UK range will be offered in three different trim levels: Icon, Excel and Dynamic but even the Icon models come with features like dual-zone automatic air conditioning, 17-inch alloys, the Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen multimedia system with integrated reversing camera, front fog lamps, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, dusk-sensing headlights and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

All C-HR models benefit from Toyota’s standard Safety Sense package, which includes active safety systems like a Pre-Collision System with autonomous emergency braking, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Automatic High Beam headlight operation.

Pricing for the 2017 Toyota C-HR starts from £20,995 for the manual 1.2T Icon model, with the Hybrid version kicking off at £23,595. If you insist on having an all-wheel drive Toyota C-HR, then your options start at £26,495 for the 1.2T CVT Excel model. Orders are being taken now, with the official market launch scheduled for January 2017.
