Dream Up Your Perfect MINI Countryman With New Configurator

Fresh on the heels of the 2017 #MINI Countryman debuting at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the official online configurator for the model has been released on the brand’s German website.

The tool allows users to spec out most Countryman variants on offer, including the Cooper, Cooper All4, Cooper D, Cooper D All4, Cooper S and Cooper S All4. One notable model which is absent is the Cooper S E All4, the company’s first plug-in hybrid and driven by the same powertrain as the BMW 225xe.

Even so, the configurator does allow you to select from a multitude of different trim levels while also having the ability to spec out the exterior and interior. Among the key exterior options are 10 different color options, 14 different wheel styles and either a white, black or body-colored roof.

Inside, you can play around with different materials including a number of different leather finishes and small touches like optional carbon fiber accents and different illuminated surfaces.

The 2017 Countryman is similar in size to other compact SUVs like the Audi Q3 and is underpinned by the BMW Group’s UKL2 platform. Beyond the hybrid option, available powertrains include a three-cylinder 1.5-liter petrol with 134 hp, a 189 hp 2.0-liter four, a 148 hp 2.0-liter diesel and a 187 hp 2.0-liter diesel.
