Hyundai's All New Azera / Grandeur Demonstrates Fresh Design In Korea

#Hyundai has just revealed the new Azera / Grandeur, a few weeks after the first images and details of the car surfaced.

Named the Grandeur in its home market of Korea and as the Azera elsewhere, the new model adopts an updated design and will be offered with four powertrains depending on the market.

In Korea, those engines consist of a 2.4-liter petrol and a 3.0-liter petrol as well as a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel. Interestingly, a second 3.0-liter petrol V6, dubbed the ‘3.0 LPi’ will be offered for Grandeurs set to be used as fleet or rental vehicles. Technical or performance specifications of these four engines have yet to be released.

In the cabin, the new model adopts the brand’s 7.0-inch display that incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a memory driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof and wireless charging for mobile devices. There’s also a host of safety features that come standard including Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Detection, Driver Attention Alert, Advanced Smart Cruise Control and an Around View Monitor.

The exterior design of the new Azera is a big leap over the outgoing model and all-in-all, looks more premium than ever before, thanks largely to the overhauled front fascia with sharp daytime running lights and angular creases. There are also new taillights, chrome tipped tailpipes and a distinctive set of wheels.

According to Hyundai, the Azera will be offered in various markets around the world, but not in Australia, Europe or North America.
