Abarth Tributo XSR Concept Promotes Yamaha Limited Edition Bike

Taking an #Abarth study and presenting it at a motorcycle show might make it look like a fish out of the water, but there's a good reason for doing it.

Unveiled at the 2016 EICMA in a premiere, the Abarth Tributo XSR has been created to celebrate the collaboration between the Italian company and Yamaha, which has led to the development of the of a limited edition Yamaha XSR 900 Abarth, which features an 850cc engine, carbon bodywork, Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, and an exclusive Abarth color scheme.

The motorcycle is limited to just 695 units, and those who want to be among the first to own it are advised to set their alarms for 14:00 CET (8 AM EST), on January 17, 2017, when the online registration system goes live. Moreover, the first 95 customers of the special Yamaha bike will be able to register their online order and will be subsequently invited to join an exclusive VIP Abarth Experience. After these 95 units will be sold, the remaining 600 will be made available through Yahama's dealers, from April, next year.

As for the four-wheeled concept, it sports a similar grey livery with red finishing, in tone with the Japanese motorcycle, and boasts various carbon fiber components. Additionally, the concept also features an Akrapovic ultra-light exhaust and carries the XSR logo on the tailgate, which is said to "seal the links between the two brands".
